Dr. Andrew Nyandigisi –Chief Executive Officer


Dr. Andrew Nyandigisi is a goal oriented, people focused visionary who has recently joined Health Strat as the team’s vision bearer. With a career spanning 10 years, Dr. Nyandigisi has extensive experience in the field of health with a bias in health policy and health systems strengthening. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from University Of Nairobi, MSC in Health Economics and Policy and an MBA in Strategic Management all from The University of Nairobi.

Dr. Nyandigisi has worked in different capacities within the Ministry of Health-Kenya as Focal Person for The World Bank Funded program, East Africa Public Health Laboratory Network, as the Country Coordinator for Affordable Medicine for Malaria, Secretariat to the joint inter agency coordinating committee (ICC) for HIV, TB and Malaria, Focal Person for Case Management of Malaria and most recently as in charge of partnerships and resource mobilization in the National Malaria Control Program. His key competencies include health policy assessment and development, health systems strengthening, resource mobilization, supply chain management and monitoring and evaluation. He is passionate about designing and implementing sustainable home-grown solutions to public health problems. When he is not thinking of the next health systems solution he enjoys playing soccer and enjoying quality time with family.




AmyRose Opiyo: Head of Operations


AmyRose is an accomplished Business Manager with close to two decades experience in various organizations such as Kenya Airways, African Economic Research Consortium as well as in the Insurance industry. A Member of the Institute of Human Resources Management of Kenya IHRM (K), AmyRose holds a Diploma and Bachelor Degree in Business Administration; she has a wealth of know-how in ensuring operational success and availing oversight to administrative processes.  To further underscore her organizational and execution abilities she has had the opportunity to be part of the management teams for three successful start-ups in Kenya. AmyRose Opiyo manages the human resource, office management and administration functions at Health Strat. 






Enoch Rono: Head of Finance


Enoch has a wealth of experience in Financial Management spanning a period of over 13 years gained across different industries from manufacturing, professional accountancy to the not-for-profit. His most recent engagement was with Transparency International-Kenya as a Senior Finance Officer. He is a firm believer in ethics and the positive impact it has on business success. He was voted the Ethics Champion of the year 2013 at Transparency International-Kenya. His core competencies include among others development of internal controls and compliance, budget management as well as procurement. He possesses a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting), CPA (K) and is currently completing his MBA in Strategic Management at the Strathmore Business School (SBS). In addition, he is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). 





Susan Kimathi: Project Director 


Susan is a well-seasoned program management professional with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from United States International University and a Masters Degree in Project Planning and Management from University of Nairobi. She is a project leader and manager with over 7 years’ of experience in directing full cycles for complex multi- programs and initiatives.  She has a proven ability to deliver substantial productivity and quality improvement through well managed projects .She has worked with University of Nairobi (UON) on their Centers for Disease Control (CDC) funded Central Province Response Integration, Strengthening and Sustainability Project (CRISSP) as Program Manager, she also worked with UON as Program Manager for AIDS Care and Treatment services. As Head of Programs at Health Strat, she merges the two worlds of Development and Business for quality and sustainable health systems solutions.





Martha Mwangi: Project Director


Martha is a dynamic, high capacity, grant and project management professional with extensive experience in HIV/AIDs programs. She most recently worked for Catholic Relief Services as Project Manager in charge of Institutional Capacity building of the KCCB-Kenya AIDS Response Project team. She has previously worked on the global AIDS Relief project in Kenya and was instrumental in the successful implementation and later full transition of the project to local organizations. She has previously served as the Program Manager for the Kenya Network of Women with AIDS (KENWA) where she managed various donor projects. Martha has over 10 years’ experience in grant management and capacity building working with various organizations. Martha holds a Masters Degree in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Nairobi. She is project director for the TACT-Transforming TB/HIV prevention, Care and Treatment in Prisons- program at Health Strat.
