OUR PROJECTS

Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare AMPATHPlus Project

Health Strat implemented this HIV service delivery project whose goal was to increase access and coverage for HIV prevention, care and treatment services towards achieving 95-95-95 targets across 156 facilities in Kakamega County. Overall, the project managed to enroll and retain a total of 33,723 clients on ART. In Q1 of COP 20, the project had achieved 52% in HIV positive identification and 48% on treatment new against the annual target at 25% time spent. Health Strat ensured increased viral load uptake across all care and treatment facilities with a viral load uptake of 97.7% attaining 92% suppression as at end of September 2019. In addition, Health Strat successfully piloted the USAID Integrated Supply Chain Management Model (ISCMM) in Kakamega County eliminating the fragmented approach in commodity management by implementing partners at all levels in the county. This project having been a 12-month grant exemplifies Health Strat’s capacity to rapidly initiate projects in any county in Kenya and be able to meet and exceed program targets.
