DREAMS
An Initiative to help girls develop into Determined, Resilient, Empowered, Aids-Free, Mentored & Safe Women
The objective of DREAMS is to prevent HIV incidence among AGYW between ages 10 and 24. DREAMS sub-objective is to prevent unintended pregnancies amongst adolescent girls and young women. Many adolescent girls and young women lack a full range of opportunities and are too often devalued because of gender bias, leading them to be seen as unworthy of investment or protection. The DREAMS core package is an evidence-based/informed, age-appropriate, comprehensive package of biomedical, behavioral, and structural interventions. Provide services to the AGYW at different encounters with mentors and intervention facilitators to target the key vulnerabilities for change. Data is reported daily to the DREAMS database either via the Web or Mobile App. Daily, sychronised data extracts are availed to each IP in a password protected spreadsheet through a drop-box link for data cleaning and analysis for performance monitoring.
