Supply Chain Strengthening Project

Health Strat is currently engaged by UNFPA in the review and strengthening of the national and county supply chain systems for family planning commodities. The main outcome of this activity is to capacity build the national and county teams towards reducing stock outs and expiries of program commodities. This is being achieved through use of technology to improve commodity data quality and visibility at facility, county and national levels. In this regard, HS deployed QualiPharm which has led to improved county and national level commodity data visibility; In Homa Bay County, reporting rates for FP commodities improved from 92% in May 2019 to 99% in December 2019 and increased to 100% in May 2020. The project support 1,300 facilities across 21 counties.
