Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech Co., Ltd – HIV Self-Test Kit Project

Health Strat has been mandated by Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech Co., Ltd to support product registration with the national drugs regulatory authority – Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), and Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB), evaluation on market acceptability and product use, and capacity building of product users both in public and private sector on the Wondfo HIV self-test kit in Kenya. Under this engagement, Health Strat provides technical services and coordinates activities/communication with NASCOP/Ministry of Health – Kenya on the product as the Marketing Authorization Holder. This includes market estimation through calculating total addressable market (TAM) and market landscaping: value chain analysis, price and availability surveys, and product utilization surveys. In addition, Health Strat is set to collaborate with and support the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders for any required laboratory study, field validation, or pilot study of related products.

ASSESSMENT OF THE FUNCTIONALITY OF QUALITY IMPROVEMENT TEAMS (QITs) - unicef support supervision project

Health Strat has been contracted by the United Nations International Chidren’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Tanzania to revise the national supportive supervision guideline and the development of checklists for integrated supervision of primary health care (PHC), leadership and management in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.

Impact Health Organization (IHO) - UNFPA South Sudan Project

Health Strat was engaged by IHO to roll out a nationwide system for the management of reproductive health (RH) commodities that will give end-to-end visibility of the national supply chain in South Sudan. The scope of work included deployment of QualiPharm for use in 87 health facilities receiving United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) -procured commodities. In addition to this, training of QualiPharm users including commodities managers/supervisors from county, state, and national levels.

BECTON DICKINSON (BD) KENYA ONCOLOGY PROJECT

Health Strat is implementing this project to strengthen capacity for cervical and breast cancer screening, diagnosis and management in Nairobi City County in collaboration with Ministry of Health. The overarching objective is to support the Kenya’s goal to improve access to Quality screening and early diagnosis for breast and cervical cancer in line with Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda and to achieve the WHO 90-70-90 targets for cervical cancer elimination by 2030. It involves the introduction of new health technology (self-collection kit) to improve access to Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) screening, early diagnosis and timely linkage to care within the public sector.

Health Systems Assessments in counties

Health Strat worked with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) to measure county performance at achieving health as a human right in line with the new constitution.  This exercise was carried out using Health Strat’s customized Qualicare 360 Health Systems Assessment Tool and results from this exercise in Busia County enabled the County to revise its County Integrated Development Plan to lay more emphasis on the health access gaps identified through the assessment.
